Our football team started in 1993 and is for 5th and 6th form pupils. We compete in the Northern Ireland and the District cups. Training is on a Wednesday during games and after school on a Monday.

Despite the limited number of players in the squad and the absence of football in the junior and middle school, the team has had some measure of success, appearing three times in the Belfast and District Secondary Schools Under 18 Cup final, and once in the prestigious Northern Ireland Under 18 Youth Cup, losing narrowly on each occasion.

Over the years, several players have achieved representative honours with the Northern Ireland Under 16 and Under 18 Schools teams. Tennant McVea, was also awarded caps for Northern Ireland Under 18 and Under 19 teams while still at school.  Former pupils David Miskelly and Gary Brown have appeared for Northern Ireland Under 21 international teams. John Baillie who was captain in 1993 is now the manager of Linfield Rangers.
