Accelerated Reader
The Accelerated Reader programme is a computerized programme that tests reading comprehension. Students select books on their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level.
Logging into Accelerated Reader / Star Tests
All students in Year 8, 9 and 10 have access to the Accelerated Reader programme. They can complete AR Quizzes or Star Tests in school during assigned English classes, during lunch or after school under supervision from a teacher in the school computer rooms or at home on a computer, laptop or tablet.

Students are given their username and password during the first few weeks in Year 8. This follows them through the next 2 years to Year 10. If a student does not know their username or password, they can speak to their English Teacher who will have a list of all usernames for that class.
