Junior Science Club

In the Junior Science Club year 8 - 10 pupils are given the opportunity to explore science under the guidance of enthusiastic year 13 science students.

Supervised by a science teacher, groups of these senior pupils plan and present a programme of activities for each after school session.  These can be as varied as simple chemistry experiments that can be performed safely at home to DNA extraction or the dissection of rats.  The aims are to inspire everyone involved to engage with science and to develop some of the skills that are essential for success beyond school.
