The Curious Incident of The Theatre Studies Trip in the Evening

On Wednesday 14th October the Theatre Studies classes in Year 13 and 14 had the pleasure of seeing an adaption of Mark Haddon’s award-winning novel The Curious incident of the Dog in the night-time, performed skilfully and energetically on stage in the Grand Opera House, Belfast.
At first glance, what struck us was the performance space; it was striking and high-tech. The use of lights and screens created a technical spectacle for the audience.
Each actor was worth noting, but standouts included Chris Ashby as Christopher and Stuart Laing as Ed. The comedic timing of each is impeccable, and their acting chops are undeniable.
The use of physical theatre created high energy and the clever use of props and set kept the audience in awe throughout.
