Cross country a runaway success!

Yesterday 8 teams travelled to Bangor for the first cross country race of the season- all 8 won team gold! 

There were a number of excellent individual performances, with 4 pupils winning their races. The following pupils achieved the top three in their age group:

Mini girls- Sarah Taylor 2nd, Hannah Derrick 3rd
Mini boys- Joe Hopes 1st, Cameron Gazzard 2nd

Minor girls- Madelyn Calvert 1st, Katie McKenna 2nd
Minor boys- Patrick Mayne 1st, Jonah Heron 3rd

Junior girls- Sarah Moorcroft 1st, Caitlin Taylor 2nd

Inter girls- Naomi Donnan 3rd
Inter boys- Alex Boyd 2nd (almost 1st- he had an unfortunate slip around the last bend!!)

This was an excellent first race of the season and good preparation for the County Down Cross Country Championships which is being held on the 28th January at Delamont Country Park. Well done to all 60 Regent pupils that took part.
