Duke of Ed Bronze Award Applications

For pupils who wish to take part in this scheme, the entry level is the Bronze Award, which is normally completed before moving on to Silver and Gold.

Pupils start their Bronze Award in the winter term of Year 10 and should aim to have all sections completed within 6-9 months or by the end of Year 11 at the latest.  There are four sections – Volunteering, Skill, Physical Recreation and a 2 day Expedition.

All candidates must be well motivated and willing to put in a great deal of personal time and effort.  For safety reasons, numbers will have to be restricted to a maximum of 70.  Successful candidates must attend all meetings, or risk being withdrawn from the scheme.

Those wishing to apply to join the scheme must download and complete the application form and return it directly to Miss Bell in the Physics Base by Friday 18th November 2016 at 16.00.  You will have to use the Duke of Edinburgh Award website for help with the form.
