Swimming Success

The Ulster Schools’ Relay Gala was held on Friday afternoon at Campbell College and our swimmers had a number of successes.

In the Open Mixed Medley Team Relay; the Regent ‘A’ Team consisting of Rebecca Reid, Luke Balfour, Emma Reid and Sam Pyper finished in 1st place and the ‘B’ Team consisting of Wiktor Kozak, Bethany Houston, Coby Cheetham and Megan McGonigle finished in 4th place. 

The Junior Boys’ Relay team of Zach Balfour, Ruarai Glynn, Joss Newell, Adam Barnes and Joshua Creaney narrowly missed achieving a medal when they came 4th in both the Medley Team Relay and the Freestyle Team Relay. 

The Senior Boys’ Relay team of Sam Pyper, Luke Balfour, Coby Cheetham, Wiktor Kozak and Jack Wilson came 2nd in the Medley Team Relay and 5th in the Freestyle Team Relay. 

The Junior Girls’ Relay team of Brooke Simpson, Erika Stanfield, Madelyn Calvert and Katie McGonigle finished 4th in the Medley Team Relay and 6th in the Freestyle Team Relay.

The Senior Girls’ Relay team of Emma Reid, Bethany Houston, Megan McGonigle and Rebecca Reid came 1st in both the Medley Team Relay and the Freestyle Team Relay. 

In the Open Boys’ 6 x 50m Relay the Regent team finished in 5th place whilst in the Open Girls’ 6 x 50m Relay the girls finished in 1st place.  

Well done to all the swimmers on a fantastic set of results!
