Half Term - Pancake Day!

Looking for something to do over the half term break?

Well look no further. Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. Lent – the 40 days leading up to Easter – was traditionally a time of fasting and Shrove Tuesday was the last opportunity to use up eggs and fats before embarking on the Lenten fast and pancakes are the perfect way of using up these ingredients.

Here is a fail-safe recipe for you to try. I still enjoy mine best with melted butter, lemon juice and a tiny bit of sugar, but you can add whatever you like – Fresh fruit, Nutella, Maple Syrup or even ham and cheese!

Enjoy and stay safe from Mrs Majury and everyone in the H.E. Department
