Regent Dance Team Success!
On Friday a talented team of fifty, junior and senior, girls left school bleary eyed at 7am to attend the Northern Ireland Creative Movement and Aerobic Dance Championships (NICMAC) in Lisburn.
We are delighted to say the girls won a total of 41 gold medals, 23 silver medals, 6 bronze medals and 3 trophies. We are also current title holders in 7 categories:
N.I Junior Acro Champ - Hollie Aiken
N.I Junior Pair Hip Hop Champs - Brooke Brown & Zara Gilmore
N.I Junior Creative Movement Dance Team – Light
N.I Junior Hip Hop Team – Guess who’s back in the house!
N.I Senior Acro Champ – Rebekah Monahan
N.I Senior Trio Dance Champs – Beth Connery, Charlotte Hanna & Emily Jueno
N.I Senior Creative Movement Dance Team – Grey’s
The girls have been training hard since September, some worked entirely on their own choreography while others worked together on duets and we have had local dance teacher Hannah McKillen giving up what little free time she has to choreograph seniors.
We also have our amazing Dance Captains Beth Connery, Charlotte Hanna, Emily Jueno and Eve McClements who deserve the highest praise possible for all the time and effort they give to our Juniors.
Regent House Dance is a force to be reckoned with, these girls are incredible. They work so hard, and we are incredibly proud of them.
