Regent House Swimmers make a Splash!
Over the weekend from 24th to 26th February 2022, four brave swimmers from Regent House School participated in Swim Ireland’s Dave McCullagh International Swimming Championships at Aurora Aquatic Leisure Complex in Bangor, Co. Down, This highly prestigious gala annually attracts top level Olympic athletes from both GB and Ireland! This year’s gala proved to be no exception, with swimmers from Regent House having the opportunity to potentially swim alongside 2021 Olympians: Tom Dean, Duncan Scott and Freya Anderson, to name but a few.
Competing against swimmers of all ages- and from all corners of the British Isles, our Regent House swimmers: Kiera Aiken, Naeve Courtney, Adam Barnes & Benji Cummings, not only notched up a plethora of personal best times but secured a selection of medals, Ulster Junior Record Times and assisted their club in securing the Dave McCullagh Trophy for Best Club in Ireland, this being awarded to our local swimming club, Ards A.S.C.
