This Year's Play is Full of Hilarious Mistakes....
Calling all parents, pupils and friends of Regent House School…. A Comedy of Errors
I want to welcome you all to the long hot summer of 1976 when the tarmac melted, the Troubles raged and fledgling Downtown Radio was spinning the hot discs from the Hit Parade. Ephesus is a dangerous town to be seen in if you’re a Syracusan since the introduction of Draconian internment laws that threaten ‘foreigners’ with the death penalty.
Nonetheless, Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse, both separate identical twins looking for their long-lost sibling, find themselves accidentally in the very town where their siblings, Antipholus and Dromio of Ephesus, are living. Sounds like a recipe for mistaken identity, madness and mayhem? Come along and witness the comedy at the Artemis Café in Ephesus, otherwise known as Regent House assembly hall, 7:30pm 16th to 18th October. (Don’t mention that it’s Shakespeare!)
