Emma Skates to Number 1
A big well done to Emma Holmes, who is now currently ranked first in NI for her competitive level in Ice Skating!
Emma started ice skating with Dempsey Andrews Ice skating Academy in October 2015. She worked quickly through the learn to skate programmes grades 1-10 and passed the Skate UK passport certificates, moving into competitive standard and testing. Through dedication in her training program, she has won medals and awards at the Annual Academy Events. Within the National Testing system assessed by The British Ice Skating Association she has passed her level 1,2 and 3 field move tests.
In September 2018, Emma competed in her first British Ice Skating Association Open Competition in Ayrshire Scotland and placed second on the podium in the beginners ladies group.She then placed second on the podium again in Milton Keynes Open Competition in February this year, achieving her new personal best score.
