Sam wins RYANI Award

Congratulations to Sam Corbett (Year 13), who last week won an award from the Royal Yacht Association Northern Ireland (RYANI) for his contribution to Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club.

Sam is a regular member of Royal North's Rescue team, and over the past number of years, he has been volunteering as crew, and more recently as a qualified helm for rescue duty and mark laying, helping the club with major events last summer.

He was nominated in the Young Powerboater of the Year category and won in his category. He is pictured here receiving his award from RYANI Chief Operating Officer Richard Honeyford at the awards ceremony, which was held in Belfast on Friday 17 January 2020.
