Swimming success again!

At the Ulster Secondary Schools’ Swimming Championships at the weekend, our swimmers had a number of successes.

On Friday night Maura Glynn in Year 14 reached the final of the Senior 100m Backstroke and came 1st in the 100m Breaststroke.  Bethany Houston in Year 13 made the final of the 100m Freestyle and came 2nd in the 100m Butterfly.  Ruarai Glynn in Year 8 came 3rd in the Boys 400m Freestyle event.

On Saturday Jack Wilson in Year 10 made the final of the Junior 100m Breaststroke, whilst Wiktor Kozak in Year 11 came 2nd in the Intermediate 100m Backstroke.  In Year 12; Luke Balfour came 4th in the Intermediate 100m Breaststroke and 5th in the 200m Individual Medley.  Whilst Coby Cheetham came 2nd in the 100m Butterfly and 6th in the 100m Freestyle.

The Intermediate Boys’ Relay team of Luke Balfour, Coby Cheetham, Wiktor Kozak and Jack Wilson came 1st in the Medley Team Relay and the Freestyle Team Relay.

Well done to all the swimmers on a fantastic set of results!
